I randomly stumbled over Jack Flash's first album "The Union Jack Album" during a clearance at a closing music shop and been a massive fan ever since. The Huddersfield MC never fails to impress when it comes to lyrical content and his latter releases "The Sound Of Colours" and his freestyle sessions "24" maintain that trend.
His latest track, "Stars", has rapidly become one of my favorite pieces of his work. Over a Cut Copy track, Flash delivers clever and through provoking metaphors over the laid back beats. Having not heard the original version, as the momentum builds you half expect drums and a beat to drop but I think the fact that its just the lyrics and the melody is what makes the track so refreshing.
